The fruitful hours of sunshine, enjoyable exercises and fun activities that you spend on your hiking trip is good for your health. But hiking is not always risk-free in the matters of health. One of the most common risks being dehydration. You must be aware of how to avoid dehydration while hiking. Besides replenishing your body with fluids at a regular interval of time, you would also need to observe certain measures in order to learn how to avoid dehydration while hiking, learn what actually dehydrates you: The lower concentration of electrolytes and water in the body. Consume ample water and food throughout the trip. Drink water before the hiking activity begins. Abstain from consuming alcoholic drinks prior to over 24 hours from the hiking event. Keep drinking water throughout your activity even if you are not feeling thirsty. Carry electrolytes tablets or powdered oral rehydration solution in the conveniently reachable part of your bags and consume whenever you feel a little uncomfortable.
